An amazing husband and dad, Steve is hard-working, very thoughtful, and pretty easy going. He sends thank-you cards for everything! He loves to surprise me with little gifts or overnight getaways, and he sends flowers the day before my birthday so I can enjoy them all day on my birthday.
He works as an attorney and although his job requires him to wear a suit and tie most days, he is more comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. He shares a partnership in a small law firm which often allows for a pretty flexible schedule. When our daughter, Piper, was a baby, he would often come home from work in the middle of the day just to hold her for a few minutes. He still comes home for lunch at least once a week. Last week he took a day off to give me some free time and took Piper to the zoo.
I get a kick out of watching him play with Piper. He has a great sense of humor. Just last night he was in the living room, twirling, hands overhead - a ballerina! Piper giggled with delight as she danced with her Daddy. He loves being silly with ’his girls’. Steve is absolutely curious about most things and can get drawn into most programs on the History or National Geographic Channels quite easily. He also collects autographs and memorabilia to display in his office. He goes to the gym most days and hopes to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro on his 40th birthday. A child of the 80's, he knows far too much about pop culture from that era than anyone should. He loves the occasional concert, and enjoys most 80's new wave or hair metal bands.
